This is a wallpaper I made long ago with one of my AG cover art for my dual screen monitor at work.
Sorry, I can't post the actual picture. (Well, I can, but I'm not going to.) Actually, I think the cropped version looks nicer than the full image.
You can kinda see how not-that-good of an artist I really am lol
edit: Let me add one more thing that the obi texture is actually scanned image of origami paper lol I'm really not great with texturing lol The furisode's texture is done by drawing a flower and define brush out of it. Tatami mat texture is done by defining texture out of a small image and fill pattern then added the dark edges of each tatami mat. I actually researched on furisode and tatami layout for a good while.
Last, but not least, I'd like to thank for helping with tatami textures.
I don't see how you could say that's not good. I think the detail, particularly on the obi, is amazing. I love the gold. The kimono itself is also very well done, and I love how you did her face.
But if you want some suggestions on how you could do it better (not that I'm really someone who should be giving advice XD ) you could add a bit more detail to her hair and the rope tying the obi looks a bit plasticy. I would recommend changing the color of the highlights and maybe adding a hint of texture.
Those are really the only things that I could see that really seemed at all off. Everything else looks absolutely amazing, and proves the opposite of what you claim it demonstrates XD
well, it was a rush job really, I only had two days to work on it. If I had more time I would really like to paint the whole thing.. well, maybe not the tatami mat. lol
Thanks ^^
Hey, Tong. ^^/
You can see how many lines weights are kinda messed up lol Look at the finger nails on the right hand haha Unconnected lines, overlapped lines, and I had to use my half-assed technique of painting lol
