Louie design sheet

Louie design sheet for animation project.
I was told by my coworker (in higher position) to put these up so here they are.

This is the first I did, well, 2nd actually. Originally the animation was gonna be made in 2D by an American company who aren't specialize in animation from what I heard. After they saw my original drawing of Louie in frilly white/yellowish shirt with long dark brown hair, they had to redesign him into this scrawny emo kid with short black hair. And a samurai sword.

When I saw that I was like.. HELL NO! They won't take my Louie's hair away. So I tie Louie's hair up so they won't have to draw all that much flowing hair. Black T-shirt, grey pants and coat? WHAT??? Ok, fine, L0cke likes it. But Samurai sword?? I made Louie to be associated with all things European.. so what's up with the katana!!?? No no no no no no. So I drew in a European looking sword. (I didn't even use reference myself, to be honest.)

And after that drawing was done, I still had to re-simplify it cuz apparently they can't animate my drawings and that company dropped out of the animation project.

There were only 2 character sheets done at this time. Louie and Moira. And they were simplified.

The direction was changed into 3D animation and before I knew it, first 3D Louie pictures were already in the office. I wish I was informed about it so I can make a different character design sheet :/
